You got it, and here is your post.

The engine that has sat outside since 2008 is all but junk. However, I don't have much choice but to slap it together and see what happens. I had one bank of lifters left in the engine, and those lifter bores are fine. however, the other side I had removed so that I could stop the lifter knock that the car had in the winter. Thankfully I was able to clean out that rust with some 400 grit emery and the lifters slide nicely.

I did hone all of the cylinder bores, but they are hurt pretty bad. This sucks because I just don't have the cash to bore it out and get new pistons. So I'm just going to have to hone them as best as I can and call it good. If this engine doesn't run right (yes, I will drive it quite a bit. I have a full tank of gas to burn lmao) than I will sell it with the message "needs rebuilt". I'm not going to rip someone off just to move a car.

I will post pictures here shortly.

Sent some of that stuff up here! Lol those holes look rough! But they may wear back in. Depends on if the rings last long enough.

I can assure you, you don't want what we have down here. The top on Ronnies Mustang is now Swiss Cheese. Video to come.

Man you can keep all that ice down there! That looks and sounds nasty. It would defiantly kill my stang! I've already got caught in a rare ice storm up hear and had couple thousand worth of damage to my pick up few years ago.

The video did not do it justice on just how loud it was out there. Ronnie actually yelled something that I'm not going to repeat here, but you can't make it out in my video. You can just barely make it out on his video.

We got ice early this morning at 3am (woke me up), now it's snowing on top of it. Supposed to be around 9" when it stops sometime today. The snow is light and fluffy, it's the ice underneath I'm worried about.

Well, to get back on topic, I think the Camaro project as it sits is pretty much over. I can't find an engine that is cheap enough to drop into this thing to make the build worthwhile and it would run me about $350 to swap over all of the parts just in gaskets. What happened to the days when you could re-ring a whole engine for $150... I miss those days. So for now, I think the project is over.

I do have other ideas for this car, but only if I don't decide to take it over the scales...

If you have enough land to deal with it, park it and put a cover on it. Save it for a rainy day. Put this towards the bottom of your priority list and leave it for later. Keep looking through CL and the like and one of these days the parts you need will appear for a price you can stomach.

I have the land, just hope to not use it up. Kinda like your parts car that sat for so long then the wife started telling you to get rid of it lmao.

So just for anyone that doesn't know, this car lost it's life to a crusher. Just couldn't take anymore of the engines blowing up, electrical issues and so on . So this car is no longer with us. More than likely it was shipped over to china and turned into lawn furniture...
